After 3 other designers tried to please the client below, I was given the reigns to create a website - basically from scratch. I have been her designer
for print media for the past 5 years, designing various things from a T-shirt, to tape and CD covers, to monthly newsletters, to her new (and current) logo.
After getting the site up and working, the client decided to expand her web presence by incorporating a Macromedia Flash theme. She eventually went with a new
designer who could provid her with these components, since I prefer not to use Flash in my designs. Almost all of the graphics that are used on her current
website are my designs. The new webmaster incorporated the Flash elements, but the base design work is all what I created.
During my Apprenticeship with English Productions (see Resume), I helped to redesign
and create the Charlotte World website. I also updated the site monthly with new
articles and links. Later on as I finished my Apprenticeship and began my own company,
I was hired as a Contract Employee for various jobs (layout and design of the newspapers,
Interim Editor, Webmaster, Database, etc) with World Newspaper Publishing. Through my
work as their webmaster, I maintained the sites, posting new articles weekly (the newspapers
switched from monthly to weekly), updating old files, and creating things as desired by the
publisher. I also helped to train their new graphic designer, layout artist, and webmasters.
